The 1036 decorative strap is a full surface steel strap hinge with an offset pintle to be mounted on an opening frame. It can also be set back on the face of a wall so a door can clear the doorway. The decorative strap hinge is made of steel construction with a powder coat finish, while the pintle pin and bearings are zinc plated. The 1036 strap hinge comes with a pintle secured with a cotter pin. Fasteners not included.

To calculate moment (ft#) the equation is width of door (ft) x weight of door (lb).
For example, a door width of 4.5' and 500lb = 2,250ft#. At 8' high, it requires 3 hinges and only can use the 36" disc or ball bearings for operation:
